Food, Environment, Agriculture, Science, and Technology (FEAST)

FEASTphotoThe FEAST theme area encompasses a wide range of interests associated with production, consumption, and the built environment, as well as the role of technoscience in these endeavors. FEAST faculty explore a range of issues both nationally and globally, including the cultural aspects of food, the political character of farmers' markets, environmental struggles and risk, attitudes towards genetically modified foods in Europe and North America, farmer decisions about sustainable agricultural practices, and the restructuring of food distribution, retailing and consumption. MSU is one of the global leaders in the development of this field.
